V: Song of the Open Road

Leaves of Grass Series - Winter Warmer Ale

Song of the Open Road is the fifth release in the Bell's Leaves of Grass Series.

V: Song of the Open Road

The fifth of 7 beers celebrating a literary classic, and one of our favorites, Leaves of Grass, by Walt Whitman. A sipper that is nice and malty with notes of baked bread, brown sugar and dark fruit. A perfect winter companion to help keep you warm and toasty.

Future editions will be released every two months ending in May 2020.

Why don't we list IBUs?

There is a difference between absolute bitterness and perceived bitterness. IBUs are useful for homebrewers for the purpose of clone recipes, but it doesn’t always tell the whole story. Expedition Stout is a good example. It has more IBUs than more traditional hoppy beers like Two Hearted and Hopslam.
