Two Bell's beers ranked top in the nation by Zymurgy readers

Josh Smith | Bell's Brewery

photo1.JPGOnce again, the readers of Zymurgy, the magazine from the American Homebrewers Association, voted Two Hearted one of the top two best beers in America.

This is the fourth year in a row Two Hearted has taken the No. 2 spot as part of the 11th annual Best Beers in America issue.

Hopslam is also on the list at No. 4.

One reader called Two Hearted “a symphony of Centennial hops” while another referred to it as her “go-to for hop happiness.”

Thank you to everyone – we are truly honored.

The July/August 2013 issue will be available at the Bell’s General Store.

You can also take a look at the full list, as well as other categories like Best Portfolio (Bell’s is No. 6) and overall Brewery Rankings (No. 6 again) here.

All Four Ale, Greensky Bluegrass return for annual Bell's Beer Garden Opener

Josh Smith | Bell's Brewery

MarqueePostSmall.jpgAll Four Ale will return to the Eccentric Café this weekend in downtown Kalamazoo.

Named after the Greensky Bluegrass song of the same name, All Four is a dry hopped American Pale Ale/IPA.

This is the second time we have brewed this beer and it is brewed with hops from the Southern Hemisphere and malt from North America along with a touch of rye. All Four is a pub exclusive.

Look for ripe, tropical fruit notes along with pine and an ABV of 5.85%.

This is the ninth year Greensky has opened our Beer Garden Series. They will be performing on both Friday and Saturday nights with Ryan Montbleau Band.

Also scheduled to appear on the big stage in the garden this summer: Yonder Mountain String Band, and .moe

For advance tickets to any of the Café’s shows (when available), go here.
