OABI, the acronym for "Once Around Belle Isle," is the ultimate test of stamina as paddleboards, kayaks, and surfskis race around the unique and challenging 7-mile natural and non buoyed Belle Isle course through the international waters of the Detroit River. Heading into its 5th year, OABI is the highlight of the year for Midwest paddlers and continues to draw attendees from around the country as Detroit boasts an exciting melding of surf culture in an unexpected urban beach setting! Bell's is very happy to be joining OABI this year as the official beer of the race!

Don’t paddle? OABI is a celebration of summer in Detroit and known as one of the most culturally rich events in SUP – Food trucks, Bell's beers, incredible bands on stage, a huge Paddlerama where people can try SUP or kayaks and a diverse vendor village.

Bell's will be on site in the Beer Garden during the Beach Pary with giant cornhole, swag and tasty beers! Music by Dead Again (1:15-3:15 p.m.) and Keller Williams (3:45-5:45 p.m.). 

Beach Party tickets are $20adv/$25 day of, Paddlerama classes can be registered individually and th OABI Race registrations are $75 until August 9th and $90 day of. Race registration tickets include racer t-shirt, racer gift bag, exclusive entry to the racer hospitality lounge, and beach party access.
