JOB TITLE: Marketing Business Insights Intern

LOCATION: Administration Building , Comstock, MI

REPORTS TO:  Director of Marketing 

FLSA POSITION TYPE: Variable Hours, Hourly (Paid) Non-Exempt

INTERNSHIP DATES: 06/04/2018 – 08/24/2018

EXTERNAL POSTING DATES: 02/01/2018- 02/25/2018

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Marketing/Business Insights Intern will provide support for the daily operations of Bell’s Brewery. Gain experience in market insights and data analysis.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following.

• Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery.

• Conducts IRI/VIP data mining for Marketing & Sales initiatives. 

• Reviews, summarizes, and presents craft beer consumer trends and implications for Bell’s Brewery with and emphasis in Marketing & Sales.

• Conducts Bell’s Brewery brand awareness study. 

• Assists in documenting processes as they relate to standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for pre and post launch new brand quantitative and qualitative research.

• Creates an end-of-program presentation to be given to members of the management team.

 

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

MATERIALS/MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED:

• Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• General Office Equipment

 

IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Demonstrated  knowledge of  Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with all internal stakeholders

• Ability to analyze and translate insights data to spot opportunities for improved forecasting

• Demonstrated ability to think strategically

• Ability to work independently with little supervision – self motivated

• Excellent oral, analytical, written, and group presentation communication skills

• Strong organizational & planning skills

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

• Must currently enrolled in accredited program with an emphasis in Food Marketing, Statistics, Business Insights, Marketing, or related field.

• Familiarity with IRI reporting.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft office with a focus on Excel, SQL, & Tableau.

• Prior experience with Microsoft Access or other database.

• Performance duties of this job include regularly being required to sit, stand and walk.
