Point-of-Sale (POS) Coordinator

JOB TITLE: POS Coordinator

LOCATION: Brewery, Comstock, MI

REPORTS TO: Branded Merchandise Manager

FLSA POSITION TYPE: Full-time, Hourly Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for administrative support for all facets of outbound POS merchandise management including inventory controls, distributor portal set-up/maintenance and coordinated distribution of in stock branded goods.



• Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery, Inc.

• Enters data and maintains accuracy within the POS inventory management and order processing systems including AX, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and the Bell’s Distributor Portal.

• Communicates directly with national sales team regarding Event Equipment calendar to ensure sales team is properly equipped with necessary festival support.

• Provides daily and weekly availability updates for POS inventory.

• Reinforces and builds Bell’s brand equity with all tier partners by fostering positive working relationships with distributors, internal clients and beer drinkers.

• Manages project fulfillment of companywide recognition initiatives, targeted POS distributor services and special projects.

• Maintains accurate and up to date POS department SOPs.

• Coordinates trucking schedule with outbound Distributor POS orders in support of the POS Fulfillment team.

• Participates in quarterly inventory counts and reconciliation.

• Prepares item listings for availability on the Distributor Portal (item set-up includes: photos, descriptions and accurate item specifications noted in all appropriate software).

• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and comfortable addressing diverse groups.

• Exceptional time management skills with a proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work load to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

• Ability to be enthusiastic, customer service oriented and positively represent the brewery at all times. 

• Keen analytical, decision-making, and problem solving skills.

• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel), database management system, and the Internet required. 

• A well-organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.

• Ability to respond to customer inquiries via email and telephone in a manner that is informative, positive and appropriate 

• Flexible work schedule, as weekends and extended workdays are necessary. 



• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

• Prior experience working in customer service

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in office setting or inventory management preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

• This position will be performed in a warehouse setting as well as in an office environment with occasional trips to other areas as required.

• Occasional attendance at marketing events, often on evenings and weekends, is required.

• Occasional visits to Bell’s offsite events.
