JOB TITLE: Point-of-Sale (POS) Intern

LOCATION: Brewery, Comstock, MI

REPORTS TO:  Point-of-Sale (POS) Specialist

FLSA POSITION TYPE: Variable Hours, Hourly (Paid) Non-Exempt

INTERNSHIP DATES: 06/04/2018 – 08/24/2018

EXTERNAL POSTING DATES: 02/02/2018- 02/25/2018


POSITION SUMMARY: The POS Intern will report to the Point-of-Sale (POS) Specialist. This position is responsible for administrative support for all facets of POS merchandise management including procurement and distribution of stock merchandise in addition to special project fulfillment. 



• Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery.

• Assesses and restructures POS/Beer Warehouse storage.

• Conducts retail and competitive merchandise trend analysis.  

• Updates and maintains festival gear inventory.

• Audits and updates the POS workflow process documentations.

• Trains and fills in on all POS Warehouse duties.

• Catalogs all distributor truck weight guides.

• Assists in documenting processes as they relate to standard operating procedures (SOP’s).

• Creates an end-of-program presentation to be given to members of the management team.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.  Absolute integrity and discretion essential.

• Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Possess the temperament and flexibility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with varied workload. 



• Currently in pursuit of a Supply Chain, Marketing, Business, or related degree from an accredited program.

• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel), database management system, and the Internet required.  

• Prior knowledge of work flow optimization within a Supply chain environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

• This position will be performed in a warehouse setting as well as in an office environment with occasional trips to other areas as required.

• Occasional visits to Bell’s offsite events.
