7 Monks Taproom

March 2, 2018 - 12:00pm to 3:00pm

Bell's Brewery will be on hand for the 2018 Bell's Iceman Cometh Challenge registration.

Traverse City, MI – A second registration party has been added to the 2018 Bell’s Iceman kick-off celebration. 7 Monks Taproom in Traverse City will host a registration party from noon until 3 p.m. on Friday March 2nd.

“We’ve been having a Bell’s Iceman registration kick-off party at Bell’s Eccentric Café in Kalamazoo for the last five years and now it’s time to offer our ‘local’ riders a chance to celebrate the beginning of the cycling season with their fellow cyclists at 7 Monks Taproom here in Traverse City. Everybody’s spirits are high with anticipation of warmer weather ahead and a chance to get back into the woods. Cycling buddies who haven’t seen each other over the winter make plans for rides. It’s just fun to hang out with like-minded folks and get registered at the same time. Now we’ve got a celebration in Kalamazoo, the home of Bell’s Brewery, and one in Traverse City, the home of Iceman”, said Steve Brown, Event Director.

“It’s a great opportunity for returning riders to quickly register in person as well as for riders who have not participated before and want to ensure that they have secured a spot in the race”, continued Brown.

Registration forms will be available and Iceman staff members will be entering riders directly into the 2018 database on site. Personal attendance is required in order to get registered on March 2nd.

The 2018 Bell’s Iceman entry fee is $100.00 and includes the USA Cycling One-Day License. 2018 Meijer Slush Cup entry fees are $70.00 and include a USAC one-day license. USA Cycling members with an annual license will receive a $10 rebate upon showing their license at packet pick-up in November. The $10 USA Cycling annual license rebate is not available for riders in the Pro/Category 1 races.

On-line registration opens for returning riders at 9:00 a.m. on Friday March 9th and will then open for all riders at Noon on Friday March 16th.

A total field limit of 4,500 Iceman riders and 400 Slush Cup riders will be accepted. The March 16th online registration opening for all riders will operate on a “first come – first served” method. The number of entries available on March 16th for the Bell’s Iceman and Meijer Slush Cup will be determined by the number of entries previously received.
