Steal the Pint Night featuring Baltic Porter (8.1% ABV)
Learn more about the beer here below:
Tasting notes: Rich, smooth, chocolate.
Baltic Porters grew from English porters that were exported to the Baltic nations (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Finland) in the 18th century. These export versions were higher in alcohol, and over time began to be brewed in the Baltic countries with lager yeast strains instead of English ale varieties. Baltic Porters are typified by: Elevated ABV. Lager fermentation conditions that yield a mild yeast character & little-to-no ester notes (We use the same yeast as in Bell’s Lager Beer); Continental European hops (We use a blend of Czech & German hops); The malt character is a rich, sweet blend of deep chocolate, caramel, and light roast notes that fall short of coming across as burnt or strongly coffee-like.
