JOB TITLE: Content Development Intern

LOCATION: Brewery, Comstock, MI 

REPORTS TO:  Instructional Designer  

FLSA POSITION TYPE: Variable Hours, Hourly (Paid) Non-Exempt

INTERNSHIP DATES: 06/04/2018 – 08/24/2018

EXTERNAL POSTING DATES: 02/01/2018- 02/25/2018

 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Content Development Intern will work collaboratively with the Instructional Designer to develop highly creative ideas, solutions and concepts designed to grow eLearning within the internal Learning Management System (LMS).

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  include the following.

• Adheres to and advances the “Safety Always” culture of Bell’s Brewery.

• Works with the Instructional designer to support eLearning content and design needs.

• Develops content for Online Course with a focus in Safety and Sales.

• Designs content for Bell’s Brewery’s Internal Conference (Skills Week). 

• Creates posters and graphics for Skills Week. 

• Assist with instructional design education. 

• Partner with Marketing and Creative teams to create eLearning course templates.

• Works on interface designs for Learning Projects.  

• Assists in documenting processes as they relate to standard operating procedures (SOP’s).

• Creates an end-of-program presentation to be given to members of the management team.

 

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

MATERIALS/MACHINES/EQUIPMENT USED:

• Advanced proficiency in the following software:

o Adobe Photoshop CC

o Adobe Illustrator CC

o Adobe InDesign CC

o Adobe Bridge CC

o Adobe Acrobat

• Microsoft Office and Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

• Content authoring software (i.e.: Captivate, Articulate Storyline, etc.)

• LMS (Cornerstone)

 

IMPORTANT SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Strong time management skills with a proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

• Demonstrate a great deal of creativity and originality

• Strong visual sense and a creative flair

• Self-directed individual who is a team player

• Strong computer skills

• Excellent communication skills; written, verbal and presentation

• An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels 

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work in fast pace environment with changing deadlines and varying workload required.

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

• Must be a junior or senior from an accredited program with an emphasis in Graphic Design, Web Design, Fine Arts or related field.

• Portfolio of previous work.

• A keen sense of design.

• Experience with web design is a plus.

• Passion for craft beer!

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, use a computer and other office equipment.
